Google has been long-admired for its unique company motto: “Don’t Be Evil.” Critics will note that some of Google’s practices have fallen from that mantra, but it’s a better place to start than, say, Zynga, the company known for the popular Facebook games FarmVille and Mafia Wars . “Zynga’s motto is ‘Do Evil,’” a former employee of the company told SF Weekly .

TechCrunch brings news today of the latest kick from the gestating fetus that is “Google Games.” The site reports that search giant Google spent $187 million to purchase Slide , developer of the SuperPoke series and other casual games the names of which are actually too sad to type. This comes after a rumored $100 million investment in ‘ Ville vets Zynga.

BioWare working to fix ‘Shadow Broken’ Mass Effect 2 DLC for PC
